(GB/USA) Why We Need Salvation: Both You and I!

Why We Need Salvation: Both You and I!

Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

The Bible says in Matthew 7:13 that,

“Broad is the road that leads to hell, and many are they that walk that way, and few that walk the narrow path that leads to heaven.”

So you should be sure you are among those who are on their way to heaven.

Many people seek the answer to life in many directions without finding God. People remain the same, and what they seek never has any consequence in their lives. They are still just as unsatisfied as before, but even worse, when they go the wrong way here in life, their path leads only to a condition where they are not ready for eternity when they die. They are left with an eternity separated from God if they don't come to God before time runs out. The Bible says that when God moves into a person's life, changes will happen. God prepares us for eternity. He clothes us in it, so to speak.

Romans 6:23 tells us, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

There are no sinners in heaven. No one who has sinned can be admitted, but anyone who lets Jesus clean their sins by the redemptive work of Calvary will be welcomed into heaven at the time they pass away. God has also made a place ready for you, dear reader, if you will bow your knees, repent of or turn away from your sins, and ask Jesus to come into your life.

There is only one way to heaven.

In John 14:6 Jesus said,

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”

The whole world, the entire universe, all life testifies that there only is one Creator; and, therefore, only one truth. That truth is God of the Bible. To enter into the kingdom of God, you must turn away from sin, ask Jesus to save your soul, and ask forgiveness for all your sins.

Romans 3:23 tells us, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

In Galatians 3:22 we read,

“But the Scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.”

There is a reason why a person must believe. God will not force anybody, but he offers salvation freely to those who want it. Sin and a life with God cannot be mixed. Therefore, we must have our bill with all our sins cleaned away. 1 John 1:9 tells us,

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

But the forgiveness of our sins is only the beginning. Since our sins are forgiven, we must also live our lives with God. We must grow in order to live the life that God desires. It is a choice every day and every minute, not for salvation, which is settled, but for a strong walk with God, to produce fruit and to be a good witness for Him.

Salvation is like a train ticket you get at the station. You are standing there waiting for the train to come, and as long you keep the ticket, you have a right to board the train when it comes. It is the same way for entering heaven when you die. The ticket is the redemptive work of Calvary where Jesus took away your sins. The train is the day you pass away and enter heaven. So you see, as long you are with Jesus and live your life in his light, then you have entrance into heaven on the day you die.

John 1:12 says,

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name.” (power :: the right, the privilege)

Think about it. You can freely come to God and have your soul saved, gain entrance to heaven, and also have fellowship with God by praying to him. You can put your life in His hands and expect that He will be with you all the days of your life. That does not mean that you will be spared many things which everyone goes through, but God will be with you and help you through life.

But how do you get saved? I suggest this prayer:

”Jesus, I come to you because you call on me. I know you died for my sins, and that I need you to be saved. Therefore, I pray to you and ask you to forgive all my sins and save my soul. In Jesus' name, Amen. Thank you for saving my soul.”

If you have prayed this prayer, and meant it with all of your heart, your soul is saved. It is important that you find a church with Christians who can help you with the questions you might have about living with Jesus, and who can help you grow in Bible knowledge, people who can lead you into living with Jesus.

The daily life is important. Read the Gospels for a start. Pray for yourself and your family. Have fellowship with Christians. When you keep that walk with God every day, Jesus will welcome you to heaven on the day you pass away!

God bless you!
